Ex-Saline County deputy arrested

A former Saline County Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested Tuesday on charges stemming from hunting incidents.
Patrick Queen, 39, is charged with two counts of possession of a deer without a deer tag and no hunting or fishing license.
Saline County Attorney Ellen Mitchell said Queen's exceeded the bag limit for deer. A spokesman for the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks said a hunter may kill only "one antlered buck a year."
Mitchell said Queen will appear in court on Sept. 26.
Queen was a deputy with the Saline County Sheriff's Office from December 2005 to Aug. 4.
Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski on Thursday said Queen resigned.
Before joining the sheriff's office, Queen worked for the Hugoton Police Department. He graduated from McPherson College and the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center.
